Okay i noe this is very lag but Heyhey guys! Im back from Ngee Ann's FOC camp!(on 28th March)
Unfortunately it doesnt stand for Free Of Charge, but Freshman Orientation Camp.

It was really fun and everything and the Orientation Group Leaders were more inventive and more less restricted than we Group Leaders in Anglican High haha. It was very happening yupp. Met many new friends there also. I was in Sigma 2. Lol its a group name. I was separated from Germaine they all, everyone got into different groups haha!

1st Day

Starting was more of registration stuff, to prove you are actually allowed to be there. And at the end they'll scribble a letter and a number on your arm, in my case it was S2. Afterwards i realised it meant that i was in the Cluster SigmaPhi, Group no. 2. They started off with many time killers as they had to wait for like 700 plus freshies(yea we're called that in the camp) to register and all. First was the Barracuda Batucadas, some percussion group in Ngee Ann, who came up with lots of cool beats with drums and...yea..whatever u use to make noise. The Camp chiefs like Kit and Kaixiang started talking really lame stuff and stories that were actually, to some point, funny. Haha. After that we just got into out groups and set off to Ice Breaker Games.
Initially i was thinking. "Okay the group has close to 40 people...im gonna remember all their names now??" We formed a REALLY big circle and sat down. So our GLs, Ryan, Jiting and Wendy, started to get us to introduce ourselves. Okay it was chaos cos i could only hear those ppl arnd me but those opposite were inaudible. Then we played Whacko. Haha Dickson was unfortunately the poor dude to be called up first. As i expected anyone wld be, he got lost in the name calling. Apparently if u werent that prodigy in India that could remember a hundred objects at one go you would be totally lost in this game with 40 strangers. I didnt get caught at all ^^ After that was the game broken television. Its that pass it on game where you have to pass a 'message' with actions without talking one person by one person and the last guy at the end has to guess what is it. We screwed up. =D Apparently the GL's purpose of the game was not for competition but just to get us looking all stupid and high by purposely screwing up the message for the fun of it haha! Okay after that was quite alot of Cheer teaching, that was quite understood by me. Suddenly the Gls came back with Blindfolds. I thought we were gonna play some other game or what but i wasnt even close. After i was blindfolded i was led by one GL(dunno which one) onto a particular spot. He/she sat me infront of another girl, and made me hold her hand. Judging from the mumbling all arnd me i guess everyone was split up and doing the same thing. Then they told us to talk to our partner, interests, hobbies, information, everything we cld talk...just chat. Okayy so i found out frm my partner shes a girl, called xinyi, from canberra secondary(thought it was in australia), in Psychology, blah blah blah. Felt really weird talking to sumone i cant see, over such things. In the end we ran outta stuff to talk. Then after some observation i realise the couple beside me was Weilin and some other guy HAHA. She actually said out her msn loll..Yea so all these aside, after 10 mins of silence, the GLs told us to take off our blindfolds. Okay hmm u guys must be thinking what was my comments but welll...got no comments lo? I didnt get like Jessica Alba if thats what u're thinking. Then after that the Gls said tgt. "THIS IS YOUR MASS DANCE PARTNER" Then i gave the o.0! followed by the =.= face. Dam dots lol. So yea i gave a "nice to meet you" and a "cya later" and got up and went to my grp. =P

After that was Lunch (im gonna skip details abt lunch cos.....yea nothing much can happen while you're eating.)

Scavenger hunt was really boring too. We were like dragging ourselves along with nth to say haha. At arnd like 7pm, the Gls got all uneasy and stuff. Saying that in ngee ann at this hour u sldnt be making too much noise cos apparently the've had this history abt ghost possessions and stuff and they didnt want that to happen. First thing that came to my mind was "Okay, I dont see how you're gonna have night activities keeping all quiet and stuff". Second thing was "I thought i heard Wendy(GL) just scream out laughing back there?" It was really cool ok. These GLs are really good at this. It lasted all along till dinner time, we CANT talk. seriously. And the Gls kept telling us ghost stories abt ngee ann, like why Blk 50(engineering)'s railings were red(theres a blood stain that couldnt be wiped off so they just painted it red). And the radio controls at the Mass Comm Studio would flicker after 9pm(some supernatural interferance),and that after dunno what time you can see images on the surface of the swimming pool darting in and out.(drowned students) And the lift at the Business blk wld keep stopping at 4th floor for no apparent reason. (no reason xP) Okay la some of us were freaked, but not me okayy haha..im kinda used to ghost stories like this in Anglican..( Clocktower wo0ts! )

So...we were supposed to RESPECT THE NIGHT

After that they said the Camp Crew(smth like the EXCO) were acting weird and stuff so they sent us to the lecture hall, to watch a movie. First was JUNO. Haha i didnt really enjoy it though...cos...yea the mood wasnt right also. Then Izzam, iftiqal, abel, and me were like sitting at the back, on the floor(there werent any more seats),trying to make ourselves comfortable(which we cant) Eventually some of the girls started to doze off, and WE WERE FREAKING COLD COS WE SAT UNDER THE AIR CON. When the movie ended and they said "toilet break" we dashed out to warm ourselves. Ok yea there was round two. While waiting for The Eye to load(the jessica alba one), they showed us some youtube video. Now this is the part thats different from sec sch orientation. They showed things like Chris Rock's stand up comedy, which had the F*** words strewn all over the place. It was really rare haha. Like it was all cool with everybody and stuff. And they had this Achmed the Dead Terrorist. IT WAS FREAKING FUNNY. Haha and Izzam got too used to one of the catchy phrases : "Silence! I KILL YOU" aha. Okay after all that ended they started showing The EYE. The girls on the chair started getting off and sat on the floor behind the chairs and started to TRY to sleep. Haha...clarice apparently missed her bed and her unicorn LOl =.=. And i found out shes in the same tuition as Shiling Chester and Benjamin(anglican 4F ppl) and knows my cousin. Small world. It was really weird cos eventually evryone in the hall fell asleep watching the eye. And when i woke up, there was no one, except for the back-of-the-lecture-hall gang, US.

So ryan(GL) led us out of the lecture hall and to one of the Station Masters standing in the middle of no where. And he was like "Wah this group all guys ah. Okay then it will be a piece of cake for you all. All you have to do, is to follow the light sticks, and make your way out of this walk. Good Luck" I emphasize that i JUST WOKE UP, and im suddenly dragged into this. What ever happened to RESPECT THE NIGHT. Okay so apparently this grp im in were kinda treating this as counter strike(or basically just some spy mission) We were rolling here and there, running across rooms, shouting things like "COVER ME!" or "FIRE IN THE HOLE" *throws smth* And checking if the coast is clear behind the wall, giving those hand signals, we had a really cool time haha. Then came the 'ghosts' It was DAMN FUNNY. We had this idea to suddenly start the "S to the I to the G to the MA to the PHIPHI in the house" cheer. (The GLs will be so proud of us x) ) And we started shouting that as we ran down the dark staircase. Then everytime we opened a door we would like SIGMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And scare the shit out of the 'scarer' Yea the 'ghosts' were apparently under performing haha. Eventually we reached the end, and there was this female 'ghost' that screamed and we were like "okay lets shout too" then "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! *laughs and leaves the room*" Thats abt the end of the 'night walk'

We had McChicken Burgers for Supper and I slept kinda well that night?

2nd Day

Woke up in the morning to see Lee gaye(i think this is how its spelt) and Clarice sitting in the Book Out room. So she was really serious in seeing her unicorn haha. Ok im gonna skip details abt breakfast. We started getting like really bonded and stuff, with Dickson coming up with cheers and everything. The Point System was just like Anglican High Orientation. Marbles. It was kinda ironic that in December I was the one giving out marbles to screaming ppl but now im the one begging for them haha.

First was Mass Dance. Yea the dance steps were cool and all and yea had quite a fun time dancing. Haha we danced to the song Low by Flo Rida. Cool huh ^^

Then it was dirty games (notice the absence of '!!' :P)

First game : We were supposed to pass water through our hair or clothes into a bottle and compete to see who won. Okay so the guys started taking off our shirts and went into the toilet to soak it with water. Soon i started seeing 'formation'. Few guys SOAKING the shirts, few guys THROWING the soaked shirt to the other end where a few guys CATCH the shirts and went out to fill the bottle. So in summary the scene was that shirts were flying everywhere =.= Eventually some bright spark had a great idea that we cld cover the tip of the bottle with a shirt and pour water directly into it. The Station Master said we were smart haha. Thats thinking out of the box =)

Second Game : The had this long canvas which they put on a hill slope, and they had those mats where u can hold on to. They poured soap, water, mud, whatever slippery onto the canvas and with these mats you're supposed to slide down the slope. (Abit like a Primitive version of a Water Theme Park) Okay i went with Iftiqal and we sorta like skidded off track and landed on the field haha but lucky we werent injured (THAT field, apparently has contaminated soil and any cuts would need immediate medical attention =.= )

Third Game: Was some sort of caterpillar game where we had to use our legs to grab on to the abdomen of a friend in front. They actually wanted guy and girl to alternate but we acted like we din hear anything and just got into position. Dickson was the poor guy who had Yihui in front of him so....a.h.e.m. everything looked wrong HAHA. Quote abt his incident from his blog : "STUPID IZZAM TRIED TO PUSH ME FURTHER INTO eh wait nono ONTO YIHUI" Haha funny guy...

Fourth Game : I think it was the butter game, where we were supposed to pass butter on a string through our shirts, but since they ran out of string, we were supposed to apply it all over our body (i only did my hand and arms ^^) Ppl like dickson and lucius used it like sun block so....hhaha..good job.

Fifth Game : We stood in a circle, and was supposed to take a card from the station master. Wendy was on my left and Ai shan was on my right. I got Nose. Wendy got Stomach and Aishan got Foot. So basically, we were supposed to Pass and Recieve Toothpaste, with that part of our body. Mine wasnt tt bad i guess, I just took the toothpaste from Wendy's stomach and placed it on Ai Shan's foot (yueck) Lol.. Some poor ppl like Yihui had MOUTH TO MOUTH HAHA! She passed it to Glen LOL. And there was also mouth to ass and nose to ass and it was really funny haha.

Sixth Game : Smth like Twister but its dam hard i tell u. I didnt really like tt game haha cos its so difficult.

Seventh Game : This is a damn cool game : Water Mahjong! Haha they gave us this list of mahjong 'combos' and we were supposed to make them by retrieving mahjong tiles. Guess where were they? At the bottom of the swimming pool! My grp chose the 大四喜 combo, the one with all 3 of the 东南西北 each and two 中 MY GROUP WON. Yayyyys hahas..Got wet for this game =.=

Last game : The station master will say out colour combinations. Like "Yellow yellow blue brown" And we were supposed to repeat that with the objects of tt colour, like "Lemon lemon sky shit" After we got it correct then we cld make our move on the 'board' to advance towards the goal. Every mistake we made was equals to 1 or 2 Litres of water we had to drink later. We accumulated 12 mistakes sooooo...yea had a tough time drinking later. After that the station masters dumped a pail of water on us. And JT(GL) was so cold he couldnt move haha!! Was a dam funny sight. Yea and that concluded the Dirty Games.

Then at night we had the Superman Game. Its smth like a damn big scale game of 'catching'. You start off from a Worm, (At all times u have to do the hand gesture of the rank you are in) and u got to find an area in the building with a Green lightstick, which is the Evolution Point. U stand there and play scissors paper stone with any other worms around you, if u win, u become an Egg. (Btw you cant 'battle' with anyone with a rank higher than you) Then now you have to find a Red Evolution Point. Then if you win, you'll go on to Chicken, where you have to find a Yellow Evolution Point. If you win you'll go on to Human, then you got to find a Blue Evolution Point. Then you'll become Superman, and you'll have to 'fly' all the way back as fast as you can without getting caught by GLs or station masters to win. Yes Station masters and GLs will run arnd catching anyone they like and 'battle' them, if you lose, you'll go down one rank, and go through all the trouble finding the Evolution points again. It was dam chaotic with everyone running arnd. And because i was wearing blue that day, everyone ran away from me! Cos they thought i was a GL or a Station Master. HAHA So they'll be like *screams and runs backwards* Dam stupid. So eventually i ended up with a 'Human' rank and was desperately finding the blue evolution point, thats where i saw gregory, who was also a Human (this sentence sounds dam weird) And he brought me to the Blue checkpoint to challenge me for the Superman Rank. I WON. Yayyys hahas then i ran back Lol. But apparently there werent any recognition or prizes so i was like =.='' And when we assembled they were like teaching this this Fever cheer. It goes like this "I've got a FEVER im HOT i CANT BE STOPPED. I GOT A FRONT OOMPH BACK AHH and I CANT BE STOPPED!!" Then they were doing different language variations of it, from Hokkien to Chinese to Malay and then to Tamil. Tamil was damn funny, cos they got this freshie to come up and teach, then the process was just damn hilarious.

After that we kinda like just ate supper(Polar sugar puffs and curry puff) and went to sleep haha.

3rd Day (my last)

Hmm well we had another round of Mass Dance teaching and completed it. And then at the end, they called for like 5 pairs to come on stage to dance. then i was thinking "Ok there are 700 people to choose from i aint that unlucky" But for some apparent reason Ryan(GL) was so enthusiastic in choosing ppl he just grabbed HweeSheng's pair and My pair to go up. I was totally like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! followed by ?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?! and then $%^@#$%! Yes so i had to go up and dance. They quickened the Song pace and i had to like freaking dance to it i was like panicking cos i could only remember until a certain part in 'Fast Mode' Made a fool of myself up there rahhs. But oh wells it was for the 'fun' of it haha.

After that traumatising experience we ate lunch and went to the Contaminated Field (i dont see why they keep bringing us there since its contaminated ) To play Water WAR. Haha this is quite a large scale game where Clusters fight Clusters all at once. Each cluster has four groups and each group will have a particular job scope that keeps interchanging. My group did Attacking first, which i accidentally threw a Water bomb really hard at someone's butt and it exploded and i just looked away hahaa! Then theres this attacker from the other grp tt ran past me with a bomb, so i was like *grabs his bomb and bursts it* then he looked at me and i was like *shrugs* "sad" Later we did Collectors, where we were supposed to collect burst bomb bags to exchange for new ones. Apparently me and Rino were still doing a job we appointed ourselves which was Defusers. HAHA yea its that grabbing and bursting thing. LOL We pissed off a number of ppl x). Later was Refillers, where we......yea..refill. I was still a defuser HAHA. yea i didnt noe how it ended but we were all really tired and hot.

After that I realised the night before my dad told me i had to be back home by 6 today so i had to leave. So when everyone was like going to bathe and change i requested for my belongings from Jiting and booked out. Was kinda sad thought cos i didnt really want to leave that early. Then when i was packing my bag my group guys were like making a commotion on why i'm leaving and apparently i said i 'would be back' but in the end i couldnt? Sorraye guys. So i decided to like, not leave without a word and sent a message 8 pages long to apologise and thank the ppl there for the wonderful time. =P

Yea that was kinda the end of the camp for me but i guess everyone went on to high during the campfire (apparently there was disco) And everything lorr.

Yupp we had great Leaders. Ryan Jiting and Wendy. Totally awesome hyper ppl who never show a hint that they're really tired and continue leading us till the end. Our group wld be dead without u guys. Thanks
