MURDER OF THE INUGAMI CLAN (SPOILERS. The movie is going to stop showing soon so mightaswell just reveal) Note : Some disturbing images.
We actually missed the front part, where the detective Kindaichi
was hired by a person (apparently someone like a servant) called Wakabashi to standby in case theres a case of bloody dispute regarding the reading of a will left behind by Sahei, a ridiculously rich person whose 1/5 of the share can apparently build quite a few 10-storey buildings in Osaka.
The reason why Wakabashi was so SURE there wld be a series of murders was because he already read the content of the will, which stated that all his wealth will be passed down to Tamayo (which later in the story is revealed to be his only REAL grand daughter) and that she is required to marry one of the 3 grandsons. Suketomo, Suketake and Sukekiyo and THAT grandson, will thus inherit all the wealth along with Tamayo.

Tamayo
But the disturbing part of the will that led Wakabashi to suspect the event of foul play, was that, included in the will, it is stated that if an event of the DEATH of one son, his family will lose the inheritance of the wealth, which will leave more for the rest. So TADAHH. CONFIRM will have murder. Cos u see how greedy humans are. And IN addition...The mothers of these grandsons, are just offspring of the women Inugami Sahei used to toy with last time (in other words, mistresses that are just for the purpose of sex) . And since Sahei didnt even mention them in the will at all, and left all his wealth to Tamayo (Who in everyone's eyes, was an outsider taken in by Sahei because she is the result of his fling with a factory worker,his one true love.) They are very very disappointed. Because it only meant that, in order to inherit the wealth, Tamayo must choose to marry their son. Tadahhhh. Another reason why murders will happen. Can you guess who may be the victims? The Sons of course! Because one less son = one less competitor for Tamayo's heart.
Beside the guy in the white mask(Sukekiyo) is the 1st woman, 2nd woman and the 3rd woman(Just name them that.)Ok another point to note was that Sukekiyo, the son of the 3rd woman. (In this story, the 3 women play quite a big part) was present at the wake with a white mask. Apparently he was scarred during the War he participated in, and thus resulted in him wearing the FREAKY WHITE MASK. No one cld make sure he was the real Sukekiyo. However they let it pass.
1st MurderTamayo met Suketake (son of the 1st woman) at the Overlook. Apparently to pass him a watch that bears the fingerprints of the Sukekiyo with the white mask (she made him hold it earlier). She wants him to bring the fingerprint and check if that white masked Sukekiyo is the real person. (because she doubts he is the real one) Suketake agrees. However he made advancements towards Tamayo because he really wants her. (Or rather, the inheritance) At this moment Saruzo (Tamayo's 'bodyguard') appears and fights with Suketake and saves her. They leave.
However, the next morning, Kindaichi (In case u all have forgotten, he is the detective) was called to the Chrysanthemum garden. He was brought infront of 5 Chrysanthemum Dolls. (5 life sized dolls dressed in chrysanthemum like clothes each resembling a member of the family) Kindaichi looked thru the dolls and found that they resemble family members. However when he came to the last one he sort of SCREAMED AND SHOUTED AND went down on his knees in fear. (Super funny. Everyone laughed)
On the last Chrysanthemum doll. The head was removed. And....
It was Suketake's Head. (The blood super fake haha)
Very mysterious right? They didnt know who killed Suketake. We also didnt know. LOL
So after that night the 3rd woman made her son, Sukekiyo(white mask guy) prove that he was really Sukekiyo, infront of many ppl. Through a finger print mark. And it was brought to the police for matching. Previously everyone did force Sukekiyo to make a finger print because they doubted him, budden the 3rd woman stepped in and called it outrageous to doubt him. So they didnt do it. But now after the first death, he felt that he sld do a finger print . TADAHH it matched! So everyone got nothing to say liao.
Ok. At a inn somewhere down the road the previous night. The innkeepers see a mysterious guy in a mask request to stay for the night. (Not the white mask) His actions are very mysterious and he left the inn at 10pm, coming back only at midnight. He left early at arnd 5am the next day. The inn keeper reported this to the police. And the police took note.(Suketake was murdered at around 10pm !)
2nd MurderAs you may have guessed. The 2nd to be murdered was Suketomo! The son of the 2nd woman. Apparently he kind of kidnapped Tamayo for a day. And tried to 'rape' her to make her his. However the MASKED MAN (Not the white mask) Appeared and took Suketomo down (NOTE : Fight only hor. ). He then called Saruzo (Tamayo's 'bodyguard') to come and claim Tamayo from that ruined house.(so it appears tt masked guy is a good guy to a certain extent.)
However the next day, Suketomo is discovered missing and was found dead at the rooftop's attic. Freaking brutal. Also, tied around Suketomo's neck, was a koto (What we chinese call a guzheng, it's some sort of musical instrument) string. So the police guess is some kind of murder weopon.
Kindaichi (The detective) [Sorry i got to repeat his position alot of times cos he really appear very little haha and ppl forget who the hell is he] noticed that for the First murder, It was related to chrysanthemum. 2nd murder was related to a koto. These are 2 of the 3 symbols of the Inugami Clan. The last one is a hatchet. (Smth like a hand axe) So there will be a final murder!
Final MurderAfter the 2nd murder. Everyone kind of panic le. Only left Sukekiyo who hasnt died. So he is the only one that Tamayo can marry. So the 3rd woman and her son, Sukekiyo, met Tamayo to discuss abt marrying plans. Tamayo declined, saying that she doesnt believe that the white masked Sukekiyo is the real thing. At this moment, the white masked guy stood up slowly and left the room. The 3rd woman followed, asking whether he is really Sukekiyo, because shes really on the verge of desperation alrd, and starting to doubt herself. And TADAHH. The white masked guy revealed that he IS NOT SUKEKIYO. But another grandson Anomura Shizuma! Bascially, aside from 3 daughters, Inugami Sahei also had another daughter (he damn sweh leh all the children all girls) with another outside woman, who gave birth to Anomura Shizuma. These 3 women dont really like that 4th woman, so one night they went to the 4th woman's place and tormented her. Stripping her naked, throw cold water on her, beating blah blah blah (Yes it was a nude scene. so extra la dont even need to act until so real and show body. Because of that become NC16) That 4th woman placed a Curse on the 3 women and died shortly after at some place else. The son of that woman was Anomura Shizuma.
So Shizuma alrd planned to take revenge for his mother alrd. But before that, he was sent to war during the WW2. Coincidentally, he met Sukekiyo at the battle field. Ironically they became good friends during the war as they didn't let family hatred (Temporary) between them. Subsequently Sukekiyo's unit was apparently wiped out. And shizuma was scarred.
When the war was over, and the 3rd woman went to the port to welcome her son home, Shizuma posed as Sukekiyo in order to take his revenge. The 3rd woman believed him, cos of the scars (His face was half burnt, till the top features cannot be seen.) And thats how everything came to light. The scene ended with the 3rd woman cowering in fear infront of the white masked man.
The next day, there was a pair of legs sticking out from the lake. Police uncovered the body and found Shizuma's body. Ok now the audience is confused. Even Shizuma (whom everyone thought was the final murderer) was murdered. Who can the real murderer be?
This is when another scene showed. The Masked man (not the white one, the white one is Shizuma and he died) appeared infront of Tamayo, and took off his mask. HE WAS SUKEKIYO!! Apparently they were lovers and he wanted to see her for the last time, before he went to admit his crimes. He admitted to all 3 murders. However Kindaichi exposed even more, and that Sukekiyo isnt the murderer, but the accomplice.
So the REAL story starts here.
Sukekiyo didnt really die when his unit was wiped out, but was too disgraced to come back to Japan as it was his mistake that his unti was wiped out. When Sukekiyo heard that the will was going to be Read and all 3 grandsons (he was the 3rd one) was present, he found it very strange, as there is an imposter. Thus he stayed at the Inn and at 10pm, went to find the fake Sukekiyo(the white masked man, Shizuma) to discuss abt this matter. Halfway thru their arguement, they saw Suketake and Tamayo coming, followed by the advances by Suketake etc. But what they saw after that was what shocked them. The 3rd woman,(Sukekiyo's mum) walked up to Suketake and stabbed him in the back. Killing him. Both shocked, Shizuma offered to help Sukekiyo save her mother from going to jail. And to do that, Shizuma cut off Suketake's head and placed it on the Chrysanthemum doll, saying "The more gruesome the crime, the less likely it's done by a woman."
As for the 2nd murder of Suketomo. Suketomo made it back home quietly after the fight and was very tired. The 3rd woman (Seemingly poscessed by Sahei's spirit) undid the ribbon on her robe and used it to strangle Suketomo till he died. Sukekiyo and Shizuma saw this and, yet again, tried to clean up after her, by tying a koto string on his neck and throwing him on top of the roof. (Making it seem difficult for a woman to do)
The last murder, of Shizuma, was really weird. I mentioned that the scene ended with the 3rd woman cowering in fear infront of Shizuma. But after that, Shizuma walked away laughing an evil laugh, back facing the 3rd woman. Thus she took a hatchet and hacked at Shizuma's head till he died. (The blood was suuuper fake and the blood sprayed in the same direction and angle for all 3 spurts LOL) Sukekiyo cleaned up after the murder by throwing Shizuma into the lake.
THATS HOW IT ALLLLLL HAPPENED. So in other words, Sukekiyo came back to ask shizuma why he act as an imposter. But unfortunately witnessed his mother committing murder after murder, and to save his mother from execution in jail, he cleaned up after her to make it seem like it cldnt be done by a woman.
As for the fingerprint part. (To prove the white masked Sukekiyo was really Sukekiyo) Shizuma changed places with Sukekiyo (since they are alrd cooperating alrd) to pass that identification stage so that they can get away with it. So the real Sukekiyo was wearing the mask.
EndingKindaichi exposed all of these plots infront of the whole Inugami clan and the 3rd woman committed suicide by smoking poisonous tobacco. Sukekiyo was sentenced to jail but Tamayo will wait for him to come out to marry him.
A farewell party was organised to send Kindaichi off but then he hated sad goodbyes. So he sneaked off when the organiser went to take smth.
Kindaichi walked along a long path beneath the blue skies. At the backgrnd is the attorney commenting that Kindaichi was like an angel sent from heaven. SO DIAO. Not sad at all haha.
OK end of my looonggg narration of the story. Note that i DIDNT have to write it alll out, and that i did so to pass my time at home. (Yes i took the whole afternoon) And probably some of u out there wld like to watch it but it's ending soon. AND DONT GO AND WATCH IT. THE PLOT IS INGENIOUS BUT THE ACTING AND THE PROPS ARE SHIT. Quite a waste of money i must say, but at least I enjoyed the plot. Loll..
We kept laughing and laughing at parts that arent supposed to be funny. Due to the very exaggerated acting and fake moments seen in the movie. Even the other people behind were laughing.

Im sure some of you have read 少年神探 金田一, right? Kindaichi is HIM.
LOL so this is actually one of the episodes from the popular detective novel series, made into a movie. But he is apparently very old in this episode (whatever happened to '少年神探'?)
