STAGEWERKZ 2008!

Reached LT68E at arnd 10.30am only to see qingfu floating around.
Many ppl not there yet obviously. Hahaa
Soon after joshua and peishan appeared and we started to cut out the voting slips!
(At this point of the post i realise my scissors are missing)
Yeaaaa. Peishan's scissors are much sharper than mine though.

Soon after many ushers reached we went for lunch.
When we returneedd
We realised there werent many things to do alrd!
Yayy!
So me and gladys just sat arnd talking
And later esther and fion arrived.!
Dunno why they sit in the front few rows stoning.
The sequence of events that followed were quite boring and all
For me it was blowing balloons, snipping at Fion's Jael and Cordelia's voting slips,
And enjoying the tech run. It was reallly nice!

Soon we went to change and get ready to recieve the guests.
oh and for this event, my jobscope was changed from AVA to VIP usher.
Zai right? x)
Must thank WHOEVER picked it for me.

And so, guests started pouring in slowly and many familiar faces appeared
and i saw a girl who looked so much like Fion so i suppose it was her sister
(So tall)
After thatt salny dragged me towards the atrium cos apparently Mr Alvin Tan has arrived

He is the Managing Director of The Music Lab, a music school that apparently sponsored our Stagewerkz. They do trainings for Bass, Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Vocal Training and demo recordings.

When we reached there we pointed to him which was the Convention Centre
Then he was like "Okay hey hop on"
Then we were IN the car!
Pardon for my swah koo-ness i seldom get to sit in 'royalty's' property.

From his attire, u can roughly guess he is a drummer.
(i just found out he is)
Cos drummers usually wear medium clothes that show off alot of their biceps
hahahaa.

Led him to his seat and introduced myself and later on, joshua
I dont knw whyy but he gave me his name card.
Pardon me for my swahkoo-ness i have never recieved namecards BEFORE. AHHA

The 6 singers all looked gorgeous i must say. They have the singer image.!

Soooooon Stagewerkz started!

Being the usher for Peishan also, i had to sit beside her at the 2nd row (the Lecturers row)
And had a great view of the stage!
Again i thank the person who chose me as VIP usher. HAHA
I really enjoyed the whole performance really

Glenn and Ruth were totally great hosts.
Loved how Glenn makes a fool of himself and Ruth gives sarcarstic remarks, and vice versa.
Lame jokes and thick skinned comments totally worked for them.
I think they have a bright future in this industry haha!

First up was Fion with her heart wrenching performance of the song 冲动, by Elva Hsiao.
I think all of our hearts were pounding together with every note she sung haha. Seniors behind commented that she had a great voice too. Good job fion!

After that was Esther with Love Song, by Sara Bareilles. Very good performance too. Particularly liked how she looked really 'into' the song haha. Looks different without specs also.

Then, it was Xinyi with Burning Up, from the Camp Rock soundtrack sung by The Jonas Brothers. Her intro video is super funny haha. She has that kind of rock-chick image. I think shes more nervous during the comp as she wasnt that high as during the tech run Lol.

After the first three sang finish, came the 'surprise'. Which was a song by last year's Stagewerkz champion Huang Dingren. And guess what? He sang the song that's playing on my blog now! 说好的幸福呢. I heard he really sounds like Jay Chou and i agree. SOME people dont agree though. But his voice is definitely closer than most ppl.

Then came the 15mins break. We ushered the VIPs out and i went to find Purdey Gladys they all. Took a few pictures but when it came to the dunno what octopus thing it was so malu. ZZZZ. Cab said i look like i want to kiss someone. WHERE GOT. AND FION HAD HEELS AND SHE SAID I WAS SHORT TSK.

Yeahhh and we're back to the competition! Started with Cordelia with , At Last . I liked her performance with 'Mercy' more though. I think she chose a song that very little of us know. So couldnt really enjoy it. But nevertheless she brought out the Jazz and Sexy feel HAHA.

Then it was Khai. He sang You Know My Name from the Casino Royale Soundtrack. He did a really good job i felt. I didnt really know this song at first, but after he sang i feel like listening to the song. Hhaha.

Jael sang next. Have A Nice Day by Bon Jovi. When she was singing i guess quite alot of ppl had the "Omg Win liao" thought in their minds. She really has the rock voice and it's very nice. Interacted with the audience too, where everyone shouted "HAVE A NICE DAY."

Then came the duet of Denise and Matthias. SUPER NICE OK. Like professional seasoned singers they were.. very captivating song and they are such a cute couple haha.

After the duet, Voting started! Ahaha at that point of time i realise i didnt have a programme sheet. So i ran to the back and started rummaging for one ahaha.

And the results! Went up with Peishan for the prize giving of consolation prizes. Which are the 3 that didnt make it to top 3. First was xinyi, then esther, then khai. But i felt everyone did well for today haha. Then it was left with the top three. At this point of time Fion was like laughing like she always does. LOL I also dunno whyy haha i think she felt it was dam funny haha.

And woots Fion is the 2nd runner up!
Cordelia first runner up!
anddd....Jael is the new Stagewerkz Champion!

GOOD JOB FION! Hahaa i bet everyone's really proud of you. It being your first time in a competition some more. Now going kbox with you will be pressure alrd HAHA

It was a really well organised performance i feel. really niceee. Didnt have alot of pictures though. I'll update and tell u who has all the pictures (most likely is hongwei) in the blog.

After that was super lots of camwhoring ahhaa. And peishan's bdae cake! Along with samantha and some other girl i dont knw. HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance.
