BAOC PreparationsThis is the period of time that most of the SBs bonded together.
It's just so unbelievable that there are SO MANY hyped and enthusiastic people
In one group, and all of them are dam funny in their own special way.
We had to come up with a performance for our freshies to perform on BAOC,
So we had to continually come to school to practice and perfect our performance,
And present it to the Managing Committee.
It would have easily been a tiring process for most people but not for US.
It was dam fun!
All the jokes and the craziness during practice and performance time
How we laughed, danced and sang together,
It made everything seem worthwhile.
It's just a pity that all of us arent PARTICIPATING in the role of a freshie,
Or we confirm plus chop will win the best OG. (We still did in the end :D)
Trying all ways to see jiahuey dance 'nobody' (We werent allowed to watch yet), the Mafias thought of this.

Met Daryl at PARKWAY PARADE early at 6.45 to go down to Garden Hotel which was somewhere near ACSI Barker to put our bags
(Jason managed to get 4 rooms free due to his connections for the entire duration of BAOC. :D )
When we reached there, some people were still asleep
While i found out Dinis has morning tantrums HAHA.
The hotel was surprisingly nice, not really like any other budget hotel.
Comfortable and Cosy.
Should have like at least 3 stars i think
How cool is it to be able to go back to a hotel after every day in camp haha.
We were late for the briefing. (Not meeting our freshies)
Gathered all my SCs and yay we're off to meet Jazz SubGroup 1!
Some of my freshies were very shy, to the extent they face away from you when they talk.
Others were just dam funny and enthu i guess haha.
We didnt expect alot from one of them called Xuanyang too, cos we thought he was some attitude guy due to his replies for everything haha.
Examples :
I added him on msn before the camp to contact him and he said i was bhb to do that.
Christine smsed him to tell him we created a blog to add details and he said "We were wasting resources"
I reminded him again to check the blog and he said "Dont want, just wear maroon shirt, shoes and all that right."
But it turns out he is quite a funny guy, and one of the few that gets our group going i guess. He does a dam good impersonation of a Thai Agua (Probably due to his voice) and he apparently knows Wing Chun Kungfu o.0

Okay after that Christine was the one who kept leading them in cheers and all that.
Quite guilty cos i haven settle down yet. But i eventually got higher :D
The SCs were very helpful too! They added volume to the cheers and also helped
with some stuff haha. (Thanks WeeChong who went back to fetch the flag) Lol
After that, we went to the CC where there were some performances.

Quite funny haha.
Okay after that was ice breakers..Got to know the group abit better. I WANTED TO PLAY POLAR BEAR WITH THEM. BUT FAIL. SO DAM NOISY LA HOW TO EXPLAIN THE GAME.
Then in the end couldnt teach chiayin also. haha.
Lunch was where i recruited performers from my group! Got people like Chingyi, Xuanyang and some of the girls. Koktiong backed out zzz
The day ended with the flag design thingi. Group 1 drew amy winehouse and frank sinatra ok! Dont play play Haha. It's quite shocking that everyone's banners turned out very nice lol.
Slacked alot during their banner design, and we went around painting each other or drawing each other with crayons. Dam retarded.
At the end of the day was performance practice. The performers were all quite enthusiastic i guess. The Male lead was dam cute haha, and the female lead did try very hard to act according to what she needed to. Mafia Boss was funny too, kept falling out of his car though LOL. The Marcuses seemed VERY enthu to teach the passer bys so i had nothing to do, went to makanplace to dabao some food for those who might want to eat. After that i watched cabrina teach her freshies (Also my trm juniors) how to dance the hoedown throwdown. Ended up with me teaching one of them cos they needed to go for a rehearsal.
Time passed slowly after that...was abit down after that..for some reason...but eventually tried to get over it.
and for a moment, it seemed like all the effort i have put in was so convieniently wasted...I really tried my best..just wasnt good enough i guess.
Made our way to some indian restaurant to have some night supper. Had Ice Cream Prata. LOL No matter how weird that sounds...haha..sld really have gotten smth warmer. Had a great time with them..full of jokes and retarded stuff. Jael and Rachel even did a duet of 'Lucky' Haha. Daryl also managed to scare me through the bus stop's noticeboard screen. I dont know how the hell i got shocked.
and then i realised..that knowing these people still made everything worth it in the end.
Went back to the hotel after that and everyone talked about not wanting to sleep, but fell asleep in the end. DAMMMMMM tired.
Day 2
It was games day!
Started with some lame talkshow thingi on stage
Then on to the games! HAHAAH
First, was the animal game, where the freshies are blindfolded and placed randomly across the room. They are then given a specific animal per group. They must then make the sound of the animal to find each other again.

Then, on to telematch! Spin 10 rounds, duckwalk in a straight line, walk with bottles between ur ankles, use a chopstick to remove a polo sweet from flour, and at the end, use rafia string to lift the group's tallest person.
They seem dam happy that they are not the one being carried. haha

At ourspace, we played some bonding games while waiting haha. One of it was the "This is a Ping" game. Look at kok tiong's face. He did the forfeit for this game.

After quite long, it's finally our turn to play the next Station Game, which was Charades
It was dam funny cos we kept making fun of other group's acting. We were to guess songs.

Higher than alot of groups i heard HAHA. We're dam lucky + good! xD
Day ended after the games if i didnt remember wrongly. But performers had to stay back to practice again. This was one of the final mass practices. It went okay i think..just that there was quite a tense atmosphere i guess...some people were tired while others were sick. So the ones that still had energy had to try leading the practice.
After that we went back to the hotel again...Did i mention we had a cult? It's dam secret and more or less successful in the sense the one involved didnt know hahaha! We had funny some cult and rooms debrief and some went to bathe while some played cards. Ate Instant Noodles and THE DAY ENDED happily because i slept with 3 pillows HAHAHAA. They complained the next morning.

Day 3Performance dayy! Woke up early in the morning to pack up and check out and all that, and took a cab down earlier with Daryl Enping and Jason to help out.

They improved quite alot! really! Just some parts that needed improvement, but they only learnt in 2 days ok! We spent like 2 weeks. (Obviously including the time to cheoregraph and all that haha we not so noob)
The performances from other groups were not bad as well, there were those that improved alot, yet there were some that didnt improve since rehearsals. I just realise Ngee Ann always got alot of dancers hahaha. All here for NRA huh...

The Mascot's dance was nice, and their game is just oh-so-horny LOL. Must be Glenn they all think of it one. I think it took dam lots of courage to do all those on stage (Especially the kisses and the chair seduction dance..like WHOOA LOL)
P.S Kissing armpit was just a turnoff. o.o
Then came Jazz's performance. VERY WELL DONE. HAHA I PARTICULARLY LIKED THE ENDING. LIKE OMG BRILLIANT. All the poppers and the super huge popper Lol. Dam nice effect. And almost everything went according to plan!
Then there was a sponsorship presentation and games by NIKE. He played some games with us. AND FOR THE LAST ONE. I represented Jazz on stage. Like omg i dont know what made me go up there. I guess im like the only one who wasnt tired HAHA. But sadded...we didnt win..i think cos our cheer was too common. They didnt want the loudest they wanted impressive hahaha. If loudest we sure win one hor LOL.
Then after a series of performances came the AWARDS CEREMONY. *Drumroll*
Sensuale Jazz kept screaming and cheering for the awards cos we WON ALOT.
We bagged like 4 awards, 2 of them were prestigious.

BEST ORIENTATION GROUP - SENSUALE JAZZ!!!We totally went crazy la..especially for the purdey and jiahuey award cos they came one after another. It meant our ASCO and SCO were so good that the judges didnt even consider it'll be unfair that both prizes go to the same OG hahaa.
During the announcement of the top 3 OGs was damn funny. Cos it's like, as long as they dont announce our group's name during the first two prizes, we have a chance for the BEST OG award. So whenever another group won the 3rd or 2nd prize, we would be like cheering for that group ahha!. So it would be DAMN paiseh if we dont get 1st LOL.
We were damn high cheering for the early winners, but when it came to the BEST OG award it seemed like reality struck us or smth...we were like "Oh shit oh shit how sia if we dont win sure malu. Damn"
BUT WE STILL WON. HAHAHA went crazyyyyyyyyyy.
I really think the reason why we managed to win and all that is because of the intense bond that we developed within a few days, and also because the SBs and SCs were dam bonded during the preparation stages, to transfer that bond to everyone.
After that was crazy phototaking session.
