Society Interview (Supposed to be posted much earlier)

It's quite hard to go through a day when you know the crucial part of it is later on in the evening.
Especially if it's an INTERVIEW.

For those who don't know, I'm actually trying for BA Society.
So i've got to like, find one female partner, and one Year 1
And namely, they are Kehlim and Jiale :D

The whole weekend was spent thinking of how to handle interview questions, and how to make our group stand out. Haha. So tgt with Kehlim, i thought of the retarded idea to print and paste our picture at the front of our shirt, and a big "You'd Want Us" at the back so when we get up and go, the interviewers will see it. I was actually joking, but we decided to go with it.

Spent the whole day in the library doing projects with my classmates at a secluded corner of Level 5. (Ok not really secluded) (Ok not really the corner)

Den at around 5.15 i met jiale and kehlim at the library, coincidentally we're all there. This was when we walked past a room and saw all the BA envoys Exco inside. Then we were like "Eh? Today got interview again meh?" Then we sorta ignored it, saying it might be a meeting.

Then later i saw this guy from the Exco bringing his BIT friend up into the room, then realise it really was a interview. Like omg how come we didnt know about it. (For your info, me kehlim and jiale all applied for Envoys, but all didnt get in)

After a sms to the president and a return call (good that he was sincere enough to call) explained that it was only for those who replied *blah blah blah refer to previous post*

Ok skip all of that. Just wanted to show how my previous post fit into this day.

Ok then it was approaching our interview timing! *heartbeat increase*

We went to outside the BA society room and started to calm ourselves down, crapping, pasting our...err...advertisements...on our shirt :D

Soon it was our turn to go in and we're met with like 5 interviewers? Can see some awkward sniggering on their faces when they saw our picture on our shirt (yay worked). Totally paiseh-ed by our entrance. Haha threw me into a state of semi-shock.

The interview process was quite standard i guess, but i couldnt seem to think of the answers i really wanted to say. Kept fumbling, and made alot of grammer mistakes. hahaa.

Halfway through, during a question i almost couldnt answer properly, jiale suddenly grabbed..ok...held my finger. Then i thought i say smth wrong and i was giving her the "huh what happen?" look. Then i couldnt get her hint and i continued saying smth else. Later she whispered and said that my hands were trembling alot. LOL. So at that moment, all 3 of us were holding hands alrd. Haha. Apparently kehlim trembled in some way also.

I think this whole interview, jiale was the calmest -.- I was right by describing her as some sort of support for our group haha.

The interview sort of lasted so longggg. Randomly saw a few faces at the door during the interview as well, like evon and her partner and some other group's singh guy.

Then the interview ended. Felt dam demoralised somehow..haha..because these few weeks alot of things havent been going as I wanted it to, den was quite worried that if this BA society thing i also dont get in, i really will just demoralise to the max.

Kehlim then found and gave me a card that was supposed to be given before the interview haha, in a dam drama way. I was about to board the bus home and she was like "eh wait!" *pass* hahaa. Really touched by the contents, thankyou. (Would really have worked more if it was before the interview HAHA)

Was doing my report on the Mrt, when sudd my phone rang and the Caller ID read "Jiahuey"
I didnt occur to me immediatly it would be about society, because Purdey said the results would be next week or something.
So the conversation started with Jiahuey sounding abit careful...den say something like "whatever is your results i hope you wont react too much" or smth
At this moment my heart started beating like nobody's business
Then she said "Your *couldnt hear* didnt make it"
For the whole period after that sentence my heartbeat was dam fluttered
And the conversation after that was dam messy
Because it's dam hard to talk when ur heart is beating so fast
Then the MRT was dam noisy also.
But 'Didnt Make It" already made me like sian diao alrd
But
the 'ending' was damn zz

"Yah, so help me tell kehlim and..the who ah..your asco"

"...jiale...yeah i'll tell them"

"Oh yah jiale. Ya help me tell them they are in."

"Huh?" (Felt as if someone threw smth at me but missed)

"They're in"

"Huh I thought..then you said...huh? am i in?"

"They're in your group right? Then what do you think?"

Then the conversation after that was also dam messy but mixed with joy
Because it's damn hard to talk when your heart is beating so fast and you've just been scammed
Hahaaaaa then after that i was all smiles
like...for the first time in this First Sem. I was actually relieved. ^^

So hereee i wanna thank Jiale and Kehlim, very importantly, for what we've achieved today.

Our path, in actual fact, was damn complicated. Almost disbanded due to my lack of confidence.

I guess that episode made us come back stronger.

Even though we failed Envoys Interview, i guess this proved that theres really something in us :)
