(continued)
Ok where was i? Oh Yeah.
Then came the 'Fan Meet' at 5pm!
I saw these two guys hovering around the other entrance with like bags of stuff and placards, so i'm guessing like they're here for the Fan Meet too, so I asked, and we introduced. And when I mean guys I mean like males. So starting the small talk, I asked who they were here for.
One guy was like "T-ara." Well yeah i understand, they're pretty and all..
...the other one however exclaimed "MBLAQ!" with a kind of freakish glint in his eyes sending shivers down my spine.
I couldn't help but repeat after him. "MBLAQ??"
Lol! And he blabbered on.
Holy shit I have never seen a fanboy of a boyband up close before. And trust me it's not for the faint hearted. He'd chant the fanchant thingis randomly all by himself, and suddenly start singing along to MBLAQ songs. He'd then turn around to look at us, giving us that excited grin in self satisfaction.
Save me. But other than that, he's kind of a normal nice person.
Delusional. But other than that normal.
He never failed to continue freaking me out throughout the whole time. Other than those 2, we met these other 2 guys also there for the fan meet, who were pretty much perverts obsessed with porn and corny jokes. I mean. What on earth?! I got no idea how long my mouth was ajar just shocked at these new characters i'm looking at. Are these what they call fanboys?
...Now you understand why I do not want to label myself as a fanboy.
And yes there were girls of course, but their behaviors were pretty much easier to understand haha.
At 5pm there was still no news of where to meet, and MBLAQ Fanboy did the honours by calling the organiser, who told us to go to the back of Max Pavillion.
There, a crowd of fans had already formed hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite idols. So we were sorted out from the non-winners by this lady from MediaPop (No i did not make an error, its not Mediacorp)
Not surprisingly, the moment that lady turned her back. Some of the non-winners started creeping behind us, trying to sneak in into the Fan Meet.
...and guess what? They succeeded. No photo ID was requested although we were told to bring it.
But ohwells i wasn't gonna be a tattletale so it was finally time to go Backstage. It was dark but the moment we went in I saw Jooyeon from Afterschool in her glittery dress walking past. Whoa we're in idol territory now. They were all rehearsing on stage so they were kinda running around?
We were brought into this conference room where there was a small stage and chairs were laid out and some media members were already present. Managed to sit in the first row cos I was following MBLAQ FanBoy LOL!
So yeah we waited, and wave after wave of disappointment hit us.
1) this Korean lady came in, prolly the manager, telling us that we weren't allowed to take pictures. And told the Media that they could only take the top half of the idols as...well..their skirts were short. Needless to say, there's not going to be any personal photo taking with them.
2) The emcee told us he'll just be asking a few questions to the idols on stage, and there won't be an autograph session like previously stated.
3) T-ara and T-Max(Ok i didnt care much abt T Max) will not be coming as they are behind schedule on their rehearsal. The T Max fan cried. So only Afterschool and MBLAQ (Much to MBLAQ Fanboy's glee)
I mean seriously the Fan meet was sounding more and more shitty as time passed. It basically became a Press Conference with a small amount of fans sitting in to hear.
But ohwells, many snapped out of their disappointment when the first of the bands arrived
...Afterschool!
