One fun fact about me that not many realized until recent months is that...
...I like to take part in Lucky Draws or giveaways
Especially of those in Facebook and that of Teenage and Teens magazines, cos they give out..well..the trendier stuff.
My first ever magazine win, was the 'Minutes to Midnight' album by Linkin Park back in 2007. (From Teenage magazine)
And for August 2011, this month's really one of my coolest wins..
I won :
Zookeeper the movie Hampers + Movie Tickets from Singapore Zoological Garden
For this one I just guessed "What's that animal" On their facebook page. And I won.
X-Men First Class Movie Hamper from Teens Magazine.
"Science and Faith" Album by The Script from Teenage Magazine
Really feel veryyyy lucky to be able to win so many lucky draws these few months. (Last few months I won tickets to 2 concerts, some cosmetic products and a random compact camera by taking part in NAPFA)
But some of my friends have been saying that "Your luck will usually balance out, and that good luck might ensue with bad luck" so i got to be careful.
What...ominous...sounding...advice
So yeah maybe i'll go balance out my karma as well...
DID YOU KNOW
My blood type is AB+
So technically I cant donate blood to other blood types because it's not a universal donor for blood, and it will get rejected by the body..
HOWEVER
What I did not know (But now know) is that my PLASMA on the other hand can be accepted by ALL blood types. (Totally reverse scenario, O blood type plasma can only be accepted by O Blood type patients) And plasma are usually needed to naturally increase the rate of clotting blood, and is often used for cancer patients.
So! I'm so going to donate my plasma through a method known as 'apheresis' at Bloodbank@HSA sometime soon, maybe after my work ends.
Apheresis is actually a process where, instead of donating your whole blood cells, they actually filter out your plasma and platelets (or whatever blood product they want) and then return the blood into you.
Anyone wanna join me? :)
