; Back to camp, some irrelevant stuff, and Oh!..Ellen!
So this week has been a whirlwind of activities. Moved back to Khatib Camp after a 1 month stay out, dusted my bunk, placed back all my belongings, said hi to people I missed, people I didnt miss, people I wish they’d give me a miss, and of course, my 32 inch plasma TV. It was fun catching up with everyone and it seemed as though they had sincerely looked forward to our return.
So many things have changed! Mainly the tons of new faces walking about (New sergeants), new rules i’d love to hate, my bunk’s new broken door, and my tolerance for incorrigible people. Let’s talk about the sergeants first. Jolly bunch of fellows really. Seemingly nice, new to their surroundings and pretty much like how we were when we first passed out from our course. One of them’s a good friend as well! But like every old-friend-starts-work-at-your-company-as-your-superior scenario, you dont really know if there are boundaries present you cant cross or whether there are other people around that already regarded him as their new bestest friend.
Ah and on to incorrigible people. Lazy ones still work hard to stay hidden from chores. Delusional ones are still the centre of their own attention. Self-centered people still stand in the centre of the room. Isn’t it tiring to judge people? I find it really tiring. You spend lots of time sitting there playing Spot-The-Foul-Characteristic by yourself, and then you spend lots of energy exaggerating your “ORH HORRRR..!” after they finally screw up.
Recently i’ve also read “Seriously…I’m Kidding,” a book by Ellen Degeneres. Its so funny she writes the same way as she talks. It’s mainly about her random thoughts abt random stuff and some FYI knowledge about herself. Her writing style is so addictive I just had to follow it. It’s also available as an audiobook so you might want to check that out as well :)
I’ve got Battalion Cohesion tomorrow. Battalion Outing’s easier to understand actually. Cohesion. Lol. Cohesion. Fancy. Anyway yeah its a day where we do stuff together and bond as a huge group of army soldiers. Guess what we’re doing? Wrong! Wrong! No we cant all fit into an ice rink. Wrong! Give up? We’re going Dragonboating! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? You know what’s the best part? I’m not rowing! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Haha it’s probably cause I was at that driving course and well, they thought I’d be severely unfit for some apparent reason. SO.WRONG. But ohwells I’ll be there to witness it I think it’ll be quite interesting.
