Being in the right place, at the right time.
Saying the right words, at the right moment.
Choosing the right person, for the right job.
Picking the donut, over the pretzel.
We can all identify with the abovesaid situations though the last one's abit controversial, obviously - because I always choose the pretzel. Auntie Anne's got lovely pretzels. That. And we're not policemen in an american movie.
Our life is practically run by decisions that we make, and while some might be simple - like whether grabbing a cup of coffee might ruin that afternoon nap you so crave. Others require much consideration, because they affect your future - Like whether its a better idea to work first or study. (Yes that's one of the decisions im dealing with now..Thoughts?)
To a certain extent, its hardly fair. Some people do better in their lives, partly due to sheer dumb luck. Being at the right place at the right time is an unspoken skill. Opportunities sprout out from the ground randomly, as random as the minds of the very people that give them. Walk into the office while your superior is choosing a person for a prestigious job and you automatically become the best candidate because you materialised infront of him, just as he thought of you. Run past a camera at a marathon, flashing a perfectly timed smile, cameraman posts you to Flickr and boom - Ridiculously Photogenic Guy meme on 9GAG.
But seriously though.
Donuts or Pretzels?
