Today was the 2nd day of the examinations, Accounting
And apparently the worst exam experience i've been in
Throughout the paper, doubts kept arising
Was it supposed to be done like this?
Did it read it like that in the lecture?
Everytime after i convinced myself it was correct,
Another doubt came up.
Halfway through the paper, met with all the difficulties and crap,
I had an ominous feeling i was gonna fail the paper,
And it was shown all over my face.
I then looked around to see if anyone else was showing that expression
But i realised it was retarded so i turned back in less than a second.
Paper was divided into two questions, 50 marks each
First one was to come up with financial statements and all that
Biggest problem faced for that part?
BALANCE SHEET DIDNT BALANCE.
....by alot some more..
I just skipped and went on the Question 2 on management accounting.
Didnt know if the way i did part A was correct, so just did it the way i perceived it and went to part B
Looked at part B and was like
"You're kidding me -.-"
Totally dont get what it meant, but hey it's only 4 marks *skip*
Went on to part C, and heaved a sigh of relief. Thank goodness. 22 marks, and they didnt require me to use the values gotten from (a) and (b). I think that one went ok...I havent shrugged off the despair and shock of not being able to balance my question 1, so im sort of like scribbling through my questions at high speed and heart beating very fast.
Part D was just...i dnt know. I did it according to common sense and english. I dont know if it did it correctly -.- but it LOOKS ok.
The moment i reached Part E, i read the question and something hit me.
Genevieve asked me to explain this last night, i couldnt and said it'll probably not be tested. ZZ! but the good thing is i remembered some points because i was really thinking abt it last night haha. But still, loads of rubbish. Somehow, marks like 7, 4, 5 etc dont seem alot to me when i was panicking -.-
Went back to Question 1 *looks at clock* Great 20 more minutes, now think.
15mins - Still thinking
10mins - Realised big gap between values was caused by GST. Switched GST payable and GST Recievable. Happy that gap was just a small gap of 435
9mins - 435??? Recalled that was the value in the computation of salaries. Went there to check and double check
4mins - Still checking. Became confused
2min - OMG MY CASH WAS CALCULATED WRONGLY
1min - Calculates correct value and checks if i would have balanced if i did it. YES! Uses correction tape and DELETES THE VALUE
0min - Invigilator says "Time is up no more writing" in a rather rude way and snatches away my paper. Result? My cash column is blank (Just correction taped), and my balance sheet is still not balanced.
Freaking pissedd...zzz..
China Trip briefing was more uplifting however
Apparently we're living in better conditions than the students there
Staying in the same accomodations as Shangri La Trainees studying at the Academy there.
(Shangri La Academy and Sun Yat Sen University is different)
Shangri La Academy is the one that's inviting us. We're just in university grounds.
:)
:D
